Visualizing the Human Body (1993)

This video shows the early pioneering work of 3D reconstruction from CT and MRI performed in the years 1986-1991 by the VOXEL-MAN Group of the former Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science in Medicine, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany. Highlights include the first realistic reconstructions of the brain (1987) and the beating heart (1988) from MRI data.



Although originally produced in digital format, this video was copied from a Betacam tape.
