VOXEL-MAN has received U.S. Patent No. 8,396,698 entitled
Method for the simulation of the haptic of an interaction of a guided object with a virtual three-dimensional object
for its haptic rendering methods. In conjunction with industry standard haptic devices, the developed methods provide a highly realistic force feedback for manipulation of various tissue types. As in reality, residents working with virtual surgical instruments can feel even very fine structures of a surface, and work on them with unprecedented precision. The patented methods are used for all VOXEL-MAN surgical and dental training simulators.
